Gerald Clayton attended the University of Florida and then the Benjamin Franklin University in Washington, DC, where he received his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting and Business Services.
Gerald founded Clayton & Company in 1953 in Decatur, Georgia. His desire to grow and run a successful business based on taking a true interest in the long-term well-being and success of its clients has proved to be well seated: Clayton & Company has evolved into Clayton, Paulk & Associates, for which Gerald now serves as a board member and advisor to the practice.
Gerald is the proud father of two sons, seven grand-children and two great-grandchildren. He serves as an officer in the American Legion Post 66 and, in his free time, enjoys traveling, the arts, and reading the Bible.
Gary Clayton is also native of the Atlanta area; he is a graduate of Avondale High School. He holds a BS degree in accounting from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina and he received his CPA designation in 1978.
Gary was with Clayton, Paulk & Associates from 1978 until 1991, at which time he formed a computer network integration company for which he was Chairman and Director of Sales until 2009. He rejoined the firm in 2009 as a partner with direct responsibility for client development. His emphasis is on monthly accounting services and business consulting.
Gary and Del (Ballard) met at Presbyterian College and have been married for thirty-three years. Their two sons, Lee and Michael, work for Gallup Corporation and PGI – a web conferencing company in Atlanta – respectively. Gary and Del attend Cannon United Methodist Church in Snellville.
Bruce Paulk was born into a military family in Atlanta; after spending a number of years in Germany, his family moved back to Atlanta and he was ultimately raised there. The Army beckoned to him and Bruce answered that call, serving his country in his early twenties. The end of his service saw him back in Atlanta, where he attended Georgia State University; he ultimately received a BBA and an MBA and earned his CPA as well. During this time, he joined Clayton & Company, a CPA firm founded by Gerald Clayton. Bruce Paulk is now a partner at Clayton, Paulk & Associates.
Bruce spent the last four decades serving individuals and businesses, helping them navigate through the financial uncertainties they face relating to taxes, business and personal planning.
Bruce also works with several ministries and has, for the last ten years, served on the board of Directors for Childspring International, an organization which provides medical care and education for children overseas.
Bruce and his wife Judy have two grown sons and are learning to be empty-nesters. You will find Bruce serving and connection men where the market place and ministry intersect.
